The Kiwi and the Silver Fern represent the rest of my family because we were originally born in New Zealand which are My dad Michael, My Sister Lara, My Brother Nicholas and Myself, Richard.

Up at the top is my family’s motto which is, Family First. Down at the bottom is my family’s surname which is Power.

Term 3 day 1-2

Environment
This is why we learn about our environment. This term or term 3 we are learning about the environment.

Day 1
On day one we came to school and we were told that we have our unit and it was about the environment ,so then we had a little chat to the class  about our unit so then we got into groups of  6...but the groups had to have a mix of girls and boys  so we got four boys and two girls. Once everyone had their groups we discussed what animal our group would make our shelter for our group made our shelter for a few dogs. But before we  started to build our shelter we had to plan our shelter on a graph peice of paper so we didn't just make a shelter and not know what we were doing. So then we planned our shelter for a dog so first we needed to find the correct materials so we went to the area with all of the wood and cardboard so we collected that and raised our tools and started to build. But while we built our shelter we had to film our journey so first we cut out the cardboard and stapled it onto our pellet and that was the end of our first day.
Day 2
Today we need to finish our shelter off so then we can test if it truly works so then we finished our journey so now it’s time to chose who are going to be the dog’s luckily I was first choice and second choice was...Tama so the two dogs were Tama and I  so we crawled into the shelter and found out that the shelter does truly work the dogs could fit inside the shelter so then we filmed our final results at 12:00 a loud noise yelled “Tool’s down” and that was the end of our journey But still tune in next time to see more exciting news happening in lava term 3.
